The Digital Revolution Embraces Culture: Our Website is Renewed with Audio Guides and Art Videos

A significant initiative within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) has successfully completed the “Project for the digital transition of cultural and creative organizations.” The goal? To develop cutting-edge digital access tools to make our cultural heritage even more accessible and fascinating.

The project, financed through the Public Notice of the Ministerial Decree No. 385 of 10/19/2022 (NRRP, M1C3, Investment 3.3, Sub-investment 3.3.2), provided non-repayable grants to support the innovation and digital transition of micro and small enterprises, third-sector bodies, and profit/non-profit organizations operating in the cultural and creative sector. The results are already tangible in some of Italy’s iconic locations.

Objectives and Interventions Implemented

The initiative focused on a dual mission: to enrich the visitor experience and to enhance the online presence of the involved sites. Among the main objectives were the development of audio guides, the creation of artistic video works, and promotion through digital channels.

Here is a summary of the key interventions that have come to life:

  • New Audio Guides and Web Optimization: The texts for the audio guide of the Treasure of San Gennaro were designed and drafted, and then optimized using SEO logic to improve their online visibility.
  • The Art of Dance Meets History: A unique intervention was the creation of video works that blend contemporary dance performances with the immense beauty of our museum. This is an innovative way to narrate and experience the museum space.
  • Digital Identity and Promotion: A unified Concept for narrating our identity was defined, accompanied by Image and Graphic Guidelines (logo, coordinated image, identity) to ensure a coherent communicative impact. Promotion was amplified through web events and targeted communication on social media.

This project demonstrates how digital innovation can become a powerful ally in enhancing our invaluable heritage.
