The Treasure Museum of San Gennaro and the International School of Comics of Florence will present, as a preview at COMICON 2024, on Sunday, April 28th at 3 PM in the Dino De Matteo hall of the Mostra D’Oltremare in Naples (pavilion 2), SAN GENNARO LO SA, the animated short film created for the song of the same name written and performed by Eugenio Bennato, who also composed the music in collaboration with maestro Antonio Fresa. The song, produced by D’Uva srl and Adesiva discografica for the soundtrack of the audio guide of the San Gennaro Treasure Museum, is an engaging Neapolitan swing ballad that now comes to life with drawings created by the Florence School of Comics, directed by Alessio D’Uva, to tell, through music, voice, and images, the incredible story of the return of the Treasure of San Gennaro from Rome to Naples. The video will be available online on D’Uva’s YouTube channel starting Sunday, April 28th! The short film SAN GENNARO LO SA contributes to a new way of narrating and exploring the rich imagery of the Patron Saint’s history, entrusting the universal language of animation, drawing, and music with the task of transmitting the life and knowledge of the cult of San Gennaro to an increasingly wide and young audience. On the occasion of Comicon, the Treasure Museum of San Gennaro will offer a discounted rate of 6 euros to visit the Patron Saint’s Museum on via Duomo (self-guided tour with audio guide).
